Effort w.e 4/1/15

According to the calendar it’s time to start training for London so time to hit the roads.

As it happened, there was a lot of snow on boxing day and it stuck around for a long time with the usual ice underneath it so instead of beginning the Pfitz 18/70 program I ended up sticking to the trails for safety rather than trying to run at pace on pavements.

A couple of good effort runs of Wessenden Trail were a decent enough starter and I am looking forward to ramping up the pace of most of my runs – especially the long run and also introducing an actual tempo run in this plan and seeing how I progress.

Other than that, it was another week of slightly frustrating low mileage really. I have a decent base already but I feel like I’m caged up at the moment wanting to get onto the pavements and start working on increasing speed!
