Fun running w.e 26/10/2014

That’s about it for the lead up to the White Rose Ultra, one easy week left in place of a taper and then some fun racing around Huddersfield.

I’ve been focusing on shorter faster runs and this week have for the most part been slogging it through some grim local weather with high winds and a fair bit of rain (which are very much possible on the White Rose day too like last year)

It’s also been nice as a result not really following the Suunto pace nag on my wrist as it’s tucked under my gloves so I’ve been running more to effort and having more fun going fast on downhills and steady on uphills. The resulting paces of my runs this week has actually been a fair bitĀ faster than normal, in the low 7:10-7:20/mile range.

Next week will just be normal runs to work but more direct and at a very easy pace to just keep the legs ticking over ready for sunday and a crack at the White Rose again. Can’t wait.
