Rest and a race – w.e 8/3/15

Knee was incredibly sore this week following the Grizzly so pretty much all rest with a local race on the Sunday.

I think in fairness, the knee soreness was actually not a direct result of the Grizzly race but actually the 6 hours spent sat cramped in the back of the car on the way home on Monday.

Apart from taking it very easy, my decision to bin off the road training for London and hit the trails to train instead has at least lifted my mood somewhat and an outing on Sunday with several fellow Meltham AC runners for the first of the club fell championship races – The 6.5 mile Ian Roberts Fell Race was brutally tough and I didn’t quite have the legs to deal with those hills but I was first Meltham runner back in 17th (of about 150) so reasonably happy with that.
