Had grand plans of running a lot while away on holiday and keeping some stable mileage going. Didn’t happen.
To cut a long 2 weeks short, I ran 4 times in France, ate a lot of bread and drank some beer. I did figure since we were camping with our family it would easy to get out for an hour and a bit and rack up some solid 10 mile base building runs but it just didn’t happen.
Instead, I took as an opportunity to not stress about running and rest for a while which I think is the longest break I’ve had from running for a long time. Hard not to feel fat and sluggish though!
