I hadn’t planned on running quite so much with the Berghaus Trail Chase scheduled for the weekend but I took it fairly easy during the week and it seemed to be ok.
It’s about the biggest week I’ve ever done without some sort of ultra at the end of it and I’m happy with the slow but steady process of building miles. The legs actually felt pretty good through most of the trail chase weekend considering the lack of taper or rest this week so happy with that and I hope I can start putting the niggles behind me by building slowly.
I did manage a tempo effort to work on tuesday at 7 min/mile pace which was good to get in and work a bit harder speed wise, something I definitely need to do more of.
