London’s gone

Week Ending 24.04.2016

Kind of relieved London Marathon has now been and gone, watching from afar has been painful.

It’s been wonderful seeing so many friends training for the marathon and many ran impressive PB’s but from a personal perspective it was tough watching the big day on TV without wanting to be there!

Not helping matters has been this lingering malaise about running fast and my hip still doesn’t quite feel right as I head over 10-12 miles on runs. I still crave changes in scenery the most though, I’ve got no immediate goal races and so I’m happy continuing to build some base over the next couple of months before I pick up a marathon training plan to get me in shape for the Edge Hill Ultra in Sept.

I’ve mapped out some new routes along the Pennine Way so look forward to exploring a little bit further along from my normal loops.

Much beyond that, I need to get my head back into it at some point soon.
