The whopper – Week ending 16th Feb 2014

After feeling a bit fatigued last week I must say I felt a lot stronger this week and I’ve actually just run my biggest week mileage wise since I started running.

I’m amazed I’ve actually managed to get in so many runs this week as the weather has been utterly appalling all week apart from today’s long-ish run to break in the new Salomon Fellraisers so I actually remembered to take some photos.

The rest of the week has been largely forgettable but consistent base building and finding out about the miracle of parallel lacing! I’ve been feeling a little bit of tightness across the top of my Nike Free’s but none of my other shoes and they do just feel a little tight so I’ve re-laced them and they instantly feel better. One to ponder if you’re struggling with any foot discomfort for sure.

We also took Felix over to Roundhay Park to do his first Junior Parkrun which was great, although he’s actually managed to get around the full 5k of Huddersfield’s it was good fun for him to take part in a more suitable 2k.
