Upping the miles

Big week in advance of the Transylvania 50k and fun plans for the coming months.

My legs felt ok after a nice chilled post London Marathon week so I went for a decent mileage week with the aim of breaking through 70 miles but didn’t quite manage to get out on Sunday for the planned 10 miler so in the end more like 60 but still actually one of the biggest weeks I’ve done.

Was great to race King of the Hill on Weds too, been a long time since I’ve done that one and smashing 2 minutes off my time there from the last time was a great feeling as it’s a tough little beast!

Easy week next week then Ally and I are off for our first foreign race adventure in Transylvania!

  • Monday – 10.4 miles
  • Tuesday – 8.1 miles
  • Wednesday – 14 miles (8.3, 3.2 & 2.5 miles)
  • Thursday – 11.5 miles (6.3 & 6.2)
  • Friday – 14 miles
  • Saturday – Rest
  • Sunday – Rest

Total: 60-ish miles, 5,272ft elevation
