Training

I’m a champion!

So after a great week last week I had another solid week rounded off with a very unexpected parkrun PB of 17:10 and the great news of official confirmation that I’ve won our club parkrun championship!

Streaking forward

The Marcothon came and went in a bit of a blur and I’ve carried on running so with the week before and this week, I’m heading towards 50 days running.

Speed and festive calories

The festive week has been a little disruptive but thanks to Marcothon I’ve at least maintained a reasonably sensible amount of running even the calorie count has rocketed.

Finally returning to normal

I knew 100 miles would knock me out of my stride and normal training pattern for a while but the impact of the White Rose has been longer lasting than I’d anticipated.

Heaven knows I’m miserable now

It’s been two three weeks since I crossed the line of my first 100 mile race and I still feel down. Add an injury into the mix and it’s all pretty depressing.

Taper time for the big 100

The dreaded taper week has arrived, no plans to do anything other than perhaps a little easy jogging and double then triple check my kit and plans for Saturday and the first 100 miler.

Feed me!

Don’t know what’s going on at the moment but my appetite seems to have ramped up more than my training as the White Rose 100 looms large in less than 2 weeks.

The ultra shuffle

I’ve inexplicably now racked up 7 parkrun 1st place finishes this year but my speed seems to have topped out.
