Downgrading and refocusing w.e7/9/2014
Another week of decent mileage and effort wrapped up.
It’s been a little while since I’ve reviewed something but I do like to actually put some decent mileage into a product before I can decide on how it performs. Today it’s the turn of the Berghaus Vapour tech tops.
Early morning long runs w.e 31/8/2014
This week was all about the first long training run I’ve done in a while and I’ve found the only practical time to do it is to get up at 5am midweek and run further than many people commute to work.
Solid recovery – w/e 24.08.2014
This was always going to be a bit of a tester after the Trail Chase and a near 80 mile week last week so I’m glad my legs responded well for once.
The biggest of weeks – w/e 17.08.2014
I hadn’t planned on running quite so much with the Berghaus Trail Chase scheduled for the weekend but I took it fairly easy during the week and it seemed to be ok.
I’ve just finished my first multi (two) day race at the Berghaus Trail Chase and it’s been a tough, fun and motivating weekend and performance wise for me a bit of a mixed bag due to a stupid navigational error on day one.
Back with a bang – w/e 10.8.2014
It’s so nice to actually put down some miles this week after the holiday excesses and include a race and reasonable long run in all that.
Berghaus VapourLight Hyper Smock review
I like running light and carrying as little as is responsibly safe and in accordance with race kit lists and having had a chance to put the extremely lightweight fully waterproof smock to the test, it’s not left my essential kit list since.
Croissants won out – w/e 3/8/2014
I eventually gave up on the idea of running while on holiday this time. It was nice to have a rest and stuff my face instead.
