Developing a little more speed w.e 16/11/2014
The year is starting to wrap up now with only the Frostbite 30 Ultra and Chevin Chase booked in, I’m looking forward to planning for next year.
Recovering from the White Rose Ultra – w.e 09/11/2014
After my efforts in the White Rose Ultra, I needed a few days off as my quads and glutes felt like they’d been tenderised!
With the White Rose Ultra on sunday, an easy final week of training instead of winding down completely.
That’s about it for the lead up to the White Rose Ultra, one easy week left in place of a taper and then some fun racing around Huddersfield.
Upping the pace feels like it’s leading somewhere positive.
I’ve spent a lot of time learning about running in the last couple of years and there’s one common set of lessons I’d like to share about turning up to your first ultra.
I think I’ve been in need of a rest for some time so the last couple of weeks have been just that.
Low and slow recovering w.e 28/09/2014
The week before Ladybower 35 my knee played up quite a bit and I was in a fair bit of pain which eased enough to race comfortably but was probably a sign of needing a bit of a rest.
With Ladybower 35 (4th place – race report) on Sunday there wasn’t much to report this week besides some knee trouble that’s appeared from nowhere.
